In today’s fast-paced world, a healthy breakfast often takes a backseat. Many people either rely on unhealthy, processed foods or skip breakfast altogether. Identifying this growing concern, Sahil Vohra and Isha Chadha founded The Naturik Co. in 2022, a brand focused on combining health, taste, and convenience.

The Origin Story

In 2022, Sahil and Isha found themselves discussing a personal struggle. Sahil, a fitness enthusiast, was searching for a protein-rich breakfast that didn’t compromise on taste or comfort. Unfortunately, the options available weren’t ideal—protein supplements caused bloating, and the taste of eggs didn’t appeal to him. Over time, this limited access to suitable protein options led to muscle loss, leaving Sahil frustrated.

The couple asked themselves: “What if we could create a breakfast that’s healthy, tasty, and easy to make?” And thus, The Naturik Co. was born.

Sahil brought over 17 years of corporate experience in sales, distribution, and trade marketing across FMCG and retail. His knowledge of Go-to-Market strategies and scaling businesses became instrumental in shaping the brand’s foundation.

Isha, an HR professional and food enthusiast, brought her operational expertise from managing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) ventures like Tibbs Frankie and Giani Ice Cream. Her insights into delivering scalable yet standardized products proved to be a perfect complement to Sahil’s skillset.

Together, they set out to redefine Indian breakfast by combining innovation and traditional flavors.

With the help of award-winning chefs and thorough research into traditional Indian recipes, the duo aimed to develop protein-rich, stomach-friendly, and delicious breakfast options. Their mission was clear: to make breakfast healthier and more enjoyable for Indian households.

The Star Products

The brand’s flagship product reimagines cheela—a savory pancake commonly enjoyed in Indian homes. Enriched with 20% more protein per serving, the mix blends pulses, oats, ragi, and grains for a nutritious twist on a classic dish.

The brand also introduced a masala millet khichdi, offering a protein-rich and fiber-packed alternative to rice-based khichdi. Made with wholesome ingredients like jowar, rava, turmeric, amchur, and black pepper, this dish is a nutritious, easy-to-prepare meals inspired by Indian tastes.

What started as a personal mission for the co-founders quickly gained momentum. Within hours of its launch, the brand’s Instagram page garnered over 50,000 followers, and its content racked up over 35 million views.

By March 2024, the company raised $180K in funding across two rounds, as per Traxcn.

Despite their growing reach, Sahil and Isha remain dedicated to their core mission: making breakfast healthy, joyful, and easy for everyone.

The brand is set to feature in Shark Tank India Season 4.
