Anarc, the new smartwatch brand co-founded by influencer Tech Burner (Shlok Srivastava) and Neel Gogia, has made a significant mark in the Indian market.
Launched by the creator-led startup Layers, Anarc achieved record-breaking sales within just 24 hours of its debut, generating over Rs 4 crore and attracting more than 1 million unique website visits.
The launch of Anarc is captivated the audience with its innovative design.
Within the first day, the smartwatch was sold out until December 2024, a remarkable feat that highlights the strong demand for a product that blends style, functionality, and affordability.
The launch video garnered more than 4 million views on YouTube.
Shlok Srivastava invested $1 million to break into the smartwatch market with this venture.
Tech Burner explained the inspiration behind Anarc’s creation, stating that the smartwatch market had become monotonous, with many designs simply sticking to square or circular forms. He said, “We at Layers challenged this norm, believing in the power of creativity to drive innovation. Anarc is our answer – a unique blend of style and substance that seamlessly integrates into everyone’s lifestyle. By bridging the gap between basic and luxury smartwatches, we are redefining the Indian smartwatch market.”
The smartwatch was designed in collaboration with Thought Over Design.

Anarc’s success is also remarkable due to its pricing strategy. While most local brands offer smartwatches under Rs 2,500, Anarc is priced at an average of Rs 7,000—three times the price of its competitors. Despite the higher price point, the brand managed to generate impressive sales.
Neel Gogia, co-founder of Layers, reflected on the success of Anarc, saying, “We’ve pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the Indian smartwatch market. By selling premium devices at a price point three times higher than the competition, we’ve defied expectations. This achievement demonstrates the potential of Indian creator-led brands in the market.”
