Sustainiam, a Noida-based climate tech startup, has secured $1.45 million (approximately ₹12.14 crore) in its first funding round.
The investment was led by Orios Venture Partners, with participation from actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Rajesh Sawhney, Harsh Vardhan Bhagchandka, and Vinit Bhansali.
The startup plans to use the funds to launch a digital platform for trading environmental assets, scale its workforce, and expand its global operations, according to a press release.

The company focuses on carbon footprint management and facilitates the issuance and trading of international renewable energy and carbon certificates. Its first product, targeting carbon emissions, is live, and a comprehensive exchange and registration platform is scheduled for launch in January.

Sustainiam serves over 140 clients worldwide, including major corporations like Coca-Cola, ITC, Unilever, Brookfield, and H&M.
It operates across markets such as the US, Europe, China, Canada, the Middle East, and Singapore. The platform claims to be trading more than 600 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) in carbon assets and aims to generate revenue of ₹70 crore by 2025.
The startup aims to digitize the carbon asset registration process, allowing seamless submission and documentation of carbon assets and projects.
This digital framework will help businesses efficiently generate and trade environmental assets on a unified platform.
