India’s Startup Mahakumbh 2025, the world’s largest startup event, is set to take place from April 3 to 5, 2025.

The event was announced at a grand curtain-raiser ceremony held in New Delhi on January 16, coinciding with National Startup Day.

Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, officiated the ceremony, emphasizing the event’s transformative potential and saying:

“Our goal is to make India the largest startup ecosystem in the world. Startup Mahakumbh acts as a unifying platform for fostering collaboration and driving transformative growth.”

This year’s theme, “Startup India @ 2047—Unfolding the Bharat Story,” aims to showcase India’s journey toward becoming a global innovation hub.

The event is expected to feature more than 3,000 exhibitors and 10,000 startups, alongside over 1,000 investors, incubators, and accelerators.

Organizers estimate participation from over 50,000 business visitors across India and abroad, underscoring its global significance. The event will focus on key sectors such as AI, fintech, cybersecurity, agritech, climate tech, precision manufacturing, biotech, and more.

Through its dynamic pitching sessions, startups will have the opportunity to present innovative business ideas to prominent investors and accelerators. In addition to these sessions, workshops and panel discussions will offer valuable insights on scaling businesses, funding strategies, and emerging technologies.

Networking zones will provide entrepreneurs a platform to connect with mentors, industry leaders, and collaborators.

The inaugural Startup Mahakumbh 2024 saw participation from over 48,000 business visitors, 1,300+ exhibitors, and representatives from 26 states and 14 countries. The second edition in 2025 is poised to exceed these number.

The event is organized by FICCI, ASSOCHAM, IVCA, and Bootstrap Advisory & Foundation, with the support of organizations like SIDBI, GEM, ECGC, and DPIIT Startup India. It underscores India’s vibrant startup ecosystem and its trajectory toward a trillion-dollar digital economy.
