The third season of Shark Tank India is all set to make a splash with a larger panel of judges. The popular business reality TV show is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV this January, featuring 12 sharks, including six new additions to the panel.
The latest entrants into the world of Shark Tank India include prominent figures in the Indian business landscape. Ronnie Screwvala (co-founder of upGrad), Radhika Gupta (CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund), and Varun Dua (founder of Acko), will be joining the show as new sharks.
They will be sharing the tank with familiar faces such as Ritesh Agarwal of OYO, Deepinder Goyal of Zomato, and Azhar Iqubal of Inshorts. Returning sharks from the previous seasons include Aman Gupta (boAt), Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com), Vineeta Singh (SUGAR Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (Lenskart.com), Namita Thapar (Emcure Pharmaceuticals) and Amit Jain (CarDekho).

However, not everyone is thrilled about the increased number of sharks. Former Shark Tank India judge, Ashneer Grover, voiced his skepticism about the expansion on social media, referring to it as an “audition of sharks for Shark Tank 4.” Grover, who left the show more than a year ago, questioned whether more sharks would mean better quality.

This comment prompted mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing a desire to see Ashneer Grover return to the show. Others felt that the show lost some of its appeal after the first season and speculated about potential budget constraints that led to the need for more investors.
