AppsForBharat (Sri Mandir App) Secures $18 Million in Series B Funding

Bengaluru-based startup AppsForBharat, the parent company of the popular devotional app Sri Mandir, has successfully raised $18 million in its Series B funding round. The round was led by Fundamentum, a venture capital firm known for backing high-potential startups.

Sri Mandir, founded by Prashant Sachan, offers users virtual access to over 50 temples across India. The app allows devotees to participate in pujas, make offerings, and view a wide range of devotional content from the comfort of their homes. Additionally, users can consult with astrologers and priests directly through the platform, enhancing their spiritual experience.

Since its launch in 2021, the app has achieved significant traction, with over 30 million downloads. According to the company, more than 500,000 devotees have used the app to perform 2.7 million pujas and offerings at temples across India over the past year alone.

The newly secured funds will be utilized to further expand the Sri Mandir app, enhance its technology stack for temples, and introduce five new regional languages. The company also plans to scale its operations not only in India but also in international markets, including the US, UK, and Canada.

With this fresh infusion of capital, AppsForBharat is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory and bring the spiritual experience closer to millions of devotees around the world.
