BlackCarrot, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) dinnerware startup, has secured an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round led by We Founder Circle.
EvolveX Accelerator and Suraj Nalin, Co-founder of PlaySimple Games, also participated in the round.
According to Co-founder Yadupati Gupta, the company has completed the first phase of the funding and expects to raise the remaining amount within the next three months through ongoing discussions with additional investors.
The funds will be utilized to develop new products and strengthen the brand’s presence across both online and offline marketplaces.
BlackCarrot is currently listed on major e-commerce platforms, including Tata CliQ Luxury, Myntra, Amazon, and Ajio, and has also launched offline retail through Nature’s Basket stores.
The startup aims to expand into more offline chains across India and launch 100 new SKUs within the next 60 days.
Founded in 2024 by father-son duo Yadupati and Vishal Gupta, BlackCarrot offers a wide range of dinnerware, including stoneware, glassware, and stainless-steel cutlery.
With over 90 SKUs, the brand focuses on healthier alternatives, such as Bone China-free crockery, lead-free glasses, and 304 food-grade stainless steel cutlery.
Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia recently joined BlackCarrot as a brand ambassador and equity stakeholder.
“BlackCarrot’s commitment to creating dinnerware that’s not only stylish but also safe and healthy resonates deeply with me. I’m excited for our future growth along with our new investors,” Dhupia shared.
Additionally, Agnello Dias, Co-founder of Taproot Dentsu, has invested in the startup as an equity partner.
