Founders Prince Thomas, Ajith Sunny, and Ranjit Behera entered the tank seeking ₹80 lakh for 1.5% equity at a ₹53 crore valuation.
They showcased their cutting-edge Smart Bat, a cricket gaming innovation, and highlighted their impressive growth.
The brand had already secured ₹4.2 crore ($500,000) in prior funding and generated ₹10 crore in revenue in its first year, projecting 5X growth in the coming year.
The sharks were intrigued by the startup’s traction but had mixed reactions—Kunal Bahl admitted confusion, and Peyush Bansal expressed dissatisfaction when his suggestion to pivot was dismissed.
After intense negotiations, Vineeta Singh and Anupam Mittal teamed up for a ₹1.6 crore investment for 5% equity, which the founders accepted.
Founded in 2021, MetaShot is redefining cricket gaming with its flagship product, the Smart Bat, launched in 2023. The Bluetooth-enabled bat offers up to 6 hours of gameplay per charge, delivering an immersive experience for cricket enthusiasts.
The platform boasts strong engagement, with 800 daily active users, 2,300 weekly users, and 6,000 monthly users, along with stellar e-commerce ratings.
Beyond Shark Tank, the startup recently secured a ₹11 crore ($1.2 million) seed funding round led by Sauce.vc, with participation from Sharrp Ventures and Panthera Peak Capital.
With this momentum, Metashot is set to scale its operations, enhance product innovation, and solidify its position in the cricket gaming industry.
