Mayank Bidawatka’s Billion Hearts Raises $4 Million

Mayank Bidawatka, co-founder of the popular social media platform Koo, has raised $4 million for his new venture, Billion Hearts Software Technologies Pvt Ltd.

The funding round was led by Blume Ventures, with additional investments from General Catalyst and Athera Venture Partners.

Prominent figures in the funding round included Karthik Reddy, partner at Blume Ventures; Neeraj Arora, MD at General Catalyst and former CBO at WhatsApp; and Rutvik Doshi, partner at Athera Venture Partners.

This funding follows an earlier $250,000 angel round backed by notable startup builders from companies like redBus, Ola, InMobi, Flipkart, and Myntra.

Founded in August 2024, Billion Hearts is focused on creating digital products for a global audience.

The company is currently working on a consumer product designed to address a common smartphone issue using deep tech solutions. While the product remains in stealth mode, a beta launch is planned for the coming months, with thousands already signed up for early access.

Bidawatka shared his enthusiasm about the venture, stating, “We’re building a product that almost every smartphone user will want. We’re committed to creating world-class products from India for a global audience.”

To ensure the company’s growth, Billion Hearts has already set aside a 25% ESOP pool for its core team, who have been involved in building the product from the ground up.
