NetraDyne, a provider of AI-powered logistics solutions, has emerged as the first Indian unicorn of 2025 after raising $90 million in its Series D funding round, led by existing investor Point72 Private Investments.
The fresh funds will be utilized to enhance NetraDyne’s generative AI capabilities, focusing on developing foundational driving models to address complex and unpredictable road scenarios, particularly tailored to Indian driving conditions.
The company also plans to expand its services to Japan, Ireland, and other parts of Europe within the next six months.
Founded in 2015 by Avneesh Agrawal and David Julian, NetraDyne leverages artificial intelligence to enhance fleet safety and video telematics.
Its flagship product, Driver.i, provides fleet operators with tools to monitor driver behavior and reduce risky driving practices.
The platform’s AI detects issues like drowsiness or distracted driving and delivers real-time alerts to ensure safety. NetraDyne claims its solutions have helped clients reduce accidents by 30-50%.
The company has a customer base of over 3,000 businesses spanning regions such as India, the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.
It monitors 700 million miles globally each month, with prominent clients in India including Nestlé and Hindustan Unilever.
In 2024, NetraDyne recorded revenue of $210 million, marking a 65% year-on-year growth. With its continued focus on AI and innovation, the startup aims to increase revenue by over 50% in the short term.
NetraDyne is targeting profitability in 2025, after which it may consider an initial public offering (IPO).
With 1.8 lakh road accident fatalities reported in India in 2024, NetraDyne aims to improve road safety by leveraging AI to reduce risky driving behaviors.
NetraDyne joins the ranks of deeptech unicorns like Krutrim and 5ire, further highlighting the sector’s rising prominence.
