IG Drones, a leading name in India’s drone technology and AI sector, has secured a significant investment of USD 1 million in its latest funding round. The investment was led by India Accelerator and supported by several angel investors, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey. The announcement was made by Founder and CEO Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya on his LinkedIn profile.

The funds will primarily be directed towards research and development, with a strong focus on defense applications and AI-driven solutions.

IG Drones is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of drone technology and is actively forging international partnerships within the defense and aerospace industries to bring its innovative vision to life.

Founded in 2018 by Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, Om Prakash, Sambit Prasad Parida, and Shuvam Dash at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla, IG Drones has made remarkable strides in the field of enterprise drone solutions.

The company specializes in drone surveying, mapping, and inspection, offering its services to state governments, 30 major public sector undertakings (PSUs), multinational corporations, and more. To date, it has successfully completed over 500 projects.

IG Drones has developed several groundbreaking products, including India’s first 5G-enabled drone and the AI-powered IG Drones Jaga. The company has also been actively involved in defense projects, youth training initiatives, and partnerships with prestigious institutions such as IIT Bhubaneswar and IIM Sambalpur. Its Kisaan drone, designed for agricultural applications, is revolutionizing farming by providing advanced solutions to Indian farmers.

Looking ahead, IG Drones is focused on expanding its reach and technological capabilities. The company plans to raise an additional USD 3 million in the coming months to further enhance its operations in India and on a global scale.
