Agriculture biotechnology startup BioPrime Agrisolutions has raised $6 million in its Series A funding round, with Edaphon leading the investment. This marks Edaphon’s first venture in Asia, alongside contributions from existing investors Omnivore and Inflexor. The Pune-based company previously raised Rs 9 crore in its pre-Series A round in October 2022, also led by Inflexor Ventures and Omnivore.

The newly secured capital will drive BioPrime’s research in crop protection, particularly the development of bio fungicides and bioinsecticides. The funds will also aid in scaling up its operations and expanding its innovative agribiological solutions to new markets.
