Bengaluru-based deep tech company Theranautilus has successfully raised $1.2 million in its seed funding round, led by pi Ventures and with participation from Golden Sparrow Ventures and prominent angel investors such as Abhishek Goyal (CEO of Tracxn) and Lalit Keshre (CEO of Groww).
This funding will be used to commercialize nanorobotics-based medical devices, starting with dental care solutions.
Theranautilus plans to enhance its go-to-market strategy and expand its innovative nanorobotic technology to address healthcare challenges across various industries beyond dental care.
About Theranautilus:
Founded in 2020 by Ambarish Ghosh, Debayan Dasgupta, and Peddi Shanmukh Srinivas, Theranautilus is focused on solving pressing dental health problems, particularly dental hypersensitivity.
Dental hypersensitivity affects over 2 billion people worldwide and represents a $6 billion market.
The company’s technology involves using nanorobots to deliver biocompatible materials directly to targeted locations within dental tissues, allowing for precise tissue repair. This method provides a long-term solution for dental issues, offering a significant improvement over conventional treatments.
Theranautilus also plans to expand its nanorobotics technology into other critical healthcare areas, including cancer therapy.
The company is already backed by international patents and becoming a leader in the emerging field of precision-based theranostics. This approach will enable more personalized, targeted treatments for various health conditions.
Theranautilus’ next steps include ramping up production, commercializing its dental solutions, and further advancing its nanorobotics technology to tackle a broader range of healthcare challenges.
