Kerala-based premium banana chips brand, Beyond Snack, has raised $8.3 million in its Series A funding round.
The round was led by 12 Flags Group, a consumer business-focused fund founded by Rakesh Kapoor, former global CEO of Reckitt Benckiser.
Other participants included NAB Ventures, Japanese VC firm Enrission India Capital, and existing investor Faad Network.
This follows a $3.5 million pre-Series A round raised in July 2023 from the NABVENTURES Fund.
In an interview, Manas Madhu, founder of Beyond Snack, revealed plans to double the brand’s offline distribution network to 40,000 outlets by the end of fiscal 2026. He also highlighted plans to expand into new cities, particularly in southern regions where the brand currently has no presence.
Launched in 2020 by Manas Madhu, Jyoti Rajguru, and Gautam Raghuraman, Beyond Snack specializes in preservative-free banana chips, crafted without artificial colors or flavors.
The brand operates in 12 countries and is gearing up for further international expansion to meet the rising global demand for healthier snacks.
The founders expressed confidence in using the funds to scale operations and introduce innovative snack options to consumers worldwide. With the growing global preference for healthier snacking, Beyond Snack is well-positioned to redefine the banana chips segment both domestically and internationally.
