Bhopal-based Wanderlooms, an adventure apparel and merchandise brand catering to Indian riders, made a strong impact on Shark Tank India Season 4, Episode 23.
Founded in 2019 by Prateek Vats and Deepesh Shrivastava, Wanderlooms specializes in travel-inspired apparel and accessories, offering stylish, utilitarian, and comfortable riding gear.
The brand also provides customized merchandise and has partnered with a leading two-wheeler automobile company to expand its reach.
Seeking ₹50 lakh for 2.5% equity at a valuation of ₹20 crore, the founders presented their vision to the Sharks, emphasizing their commitment to quality, design, and adventure-driven apparel.
While Anupam Mittal opted out, citing concerns about the business model and product differentiation, Peyush Bansal encouraged the founders to explore a global audience before also stepping away.
The breakthrough came when Ritesh Agarwal, who has a strong community of riders, offered ₹50 lakh for 5% equity. Recognizing the brand’s potential, Namita Thapar joined Ritesh in the deal. However, Aman Gupta also showed interest and offered ₹50 lakh for 5% equity.
The founders accepted the offer from Ritesh and Namita, leading to a final deal of ₹50 lakh for 4% equity, bringing the valuation to ₹12.5 crore.
The startup has carved a niche in the apparel and fashion industry and caters specifically to adventure enthusiasts and bikers.
The brand claims to have built a strong community of over 50,000 riders, offering themed riding jerseys, customized clothing, and utility-driven apparel that seamlessly blends fashion with function.
