Ruby’s Organics, India’s first organic makeup brand, made a strong impression on Shark Tank India Season 4, Episode 21.

Founded by Rubeina Karachiwalla, the brand is a pioneer in clean beauty, offering cosmetics made from plant-based and mineral-derived ingredients.

Seeking to scale her business, Rubeina pitched for ₹1 Cr in exchange for 2.5% equity, valuing the company at ₹40 Cr.

During her pitch, Rubeina Karachiwalla revealed that 58% of Ruby’s Organics’ sales come from D2C, while 42% are from marketplaces.

While Aman Gupta acknowledged the growing demand for clean beauty, he raised concerns about the brand’s growth strategy in an increasingly competitive market.

Kunal Bahl, however, saw potential in the brand’s D2C approach and offered ₹1 Cr for 10% equity, believing in the future of clean beauty.

After negotiations, Rubeina successfully secured a deal at ₹1 Cr for 8% equity, valuing Ruby’s Organics at ₹12.5 Cr, closing with Kunal Bahl.
