Bangalore-based fashion brand Woman Like U (WLU) made a remarkable impact on Shark Tank India Season 4, Episode 20.

Founded in 2019 by Shrijal Dave and Zoheib Jilani, WLU is dedicated to providing well-fitted, stylish clothing for professional women, addressing the gap in premium workwear fashion.

The founders Shrijal and Zoheib sought ₹1 crore for 3% equity, valuing their business at ₹33.33 crore.

Their rapid financial growth impressed the sharks, with revenue surging from ₹34 lakh in FY 2022-23 to ₹5 crore by September 2023-24.

They project an impressive ₹11 crore in revenue by the end of the financial year, showcasing WLU’s strong demand and scalability in India’s fashion market.

The pitch sparked intense discussions among the sharks. Vineeta Singh praised the brand’s aesthetics but raised concerns regarding the name and logo, offering ₹1 crore for 3% equity plus a 2% royalty until ₹1.5 crore was recouped. Anupam Mittal questioned WLU’s brand positioning, emphasizing a clearer market identity. Aman Gupta matched Vineeta’s offer but lowered the royalty cap to ₹1 crore instead of ₹1.5 crore.

After strategic negotiations, Aman Gupta successfully closed the deal, offering ₹1 crore for 3% equity and a 2% royalty until ₹1 crore was recovered.
