Gurugram-based food brand KisaanSay has raised $2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Jungle Ventures through its First Cheque@Jungle initiative. Senior leaders in the food industry also participated in the round.
The funds will be used to bolster marketing efforts, expand the team, and scale operations. A significant portion is earmarked for diversifying the product portfolio and improving distribution networks.
About KisaanSay
Founded in 2023 by Nitin Puri, Manoj Karki, and Vaishali Mehta, KisaanSay is a cross-category, direct-from-origin food brand that collaborates with farmer collectives from natural farming clusters in mountain valleys, forests, tribal regions, and drylands.
Their unique approach emphasizes authenticity and provenance by growing, minimally processing, and packaging products directly at their source.
Currently, KisaanSay offers more than 80 products across 12 categories, such as spices, oils, honey, and grains. Its co-brand and co-profit model engages 20 farmer collectives, supporting over 50,000 farmers.
The company utilizes an omnichannel distribution strategy that includes e-commerce platforms, direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales, and retail stores in Delhi NCR.
KisaanSay is competing with other well-known brands in the industry, including Wingreens, Anveshan, and Sweet Karam Coffee.
