Luxury skincare brand RAS Luxury Skincare has raised $5 million in its Series A funding round, led by Unilever Ventures, the investment arm of global consumer goods giant Unilever.

The round also included participation from the Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund, bringing two prominent institutional investors to the brand’s cap table.

Earlier, in April 2023, RAS had raised $1.5 million in a pre-Series A round led by Green Frontier Capital, a New York-based VC firm focused on climate change and sustainability.

The newly raised capital will be directed towards expanding the brand’s retail presence, primarily through exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and shop-in-shop retail spaces.

Additionally, it will support talent acquisition, research and development of new product lines, branding and marketing initiatives, and technology upgrades.

Founded in 2017 by Shubhika Jain, Sangeeta Jain, and Suramya Jain, RAS specializes in farm-to-face luxury skincare products, blending natural ingredients with scientific formulations.

Its products are manufactured in-house at its vertically integrated research facility and farms in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Shubhika Jain, Founder & CEO, said:
“With this funding, we aim to accelerate our vision of becoming India’s top luxury skincare brand while making strides toward a global presence. We remain committed to building a sustainable, high-quality business rooted in strong fundamentals, profitability, and innovation.”

RAS currently operates two exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and plans to expand to 50 stores across India within the next three years.

The brand estimates that 25% of its revenue will be derived from offline channels within four years, alongside substantial growth in the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) segment.
