Educational startup Zinc, founded by Prashanth Ranganathan, former CEO of PayU Finance India, has raised $25.5 million in a seed funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners.
Other notable investors include Quona Capital, EDBI, Global Ventures, and Credit Saison.
The new funds will help Zinc drive product innovation and expand its services.
The company plans to enhance global investment tools, introduce AI-powered university counseling, and develop cross-border payment solutions to support families preparing for their children’s education abroad.
Zinc aims to address the increasing costs of international education through a financial platform.
Its AI-based platform, Ada, assists young Indian students pursuing studies abroad by providing support and guidance.
Zinc also offers global investment tools for parents, helping them reach specific financial goals for their children’s education while managing currency risks.
