[Funding News] Jhana.AI Raises $1.6 Million in Seed Funding for AI Legal Assistants

Jhana.AI, a legal-tech startup, has secured $1.6 million in seed funding led by Girish Mathrubootham, founder of Freshworks, and Manav Garg, founder of Eka Software, via their VC firm, Together Fund. The funding round also saw participation from notable investors like Shyamal Anadkat from OpenAI, Scott Davis from VMWare, Kunal Shah (CRED), Cory Levy (Z Fellows), and the founders of Razorpay.

Future Plans and Expansion

The fresh capital will be allocated toward enhancing Jhana’s proprietary legal datasets and AI models, as well as expanding its team by bringing in legal and artificial intelligence experts. This is crucial to the company’s long-term goal of making legal operations more efficient by improving accuracy and reducing time-consuming manual processes.

Looking ahead, Jhana is focused on expanding its presence, particularly in India and other global markets. The company also expects further backing from Indian investors, with additional disclosures on the full funding round to be announced soon. With its AI technology, Jhana aims to further revolutionize the legal industry by streamlining processes, cutting down costs, and providing accurate legal assistance for both individual lawyers and larger firms.
